Clarification of industry day deadlines and confirmations. Solicitation Number: N/A Notice Type: RFI Synopsis: Industry Day Announcement Pertaining To A Potential Air Force System Solution to the Department of Defense (DOD) Conventional Prompt Global Strike (CPGS) Mission Needs At The Space and Missile System Center Development Planning (SMC/XR) Directorate ATTN: CPGS System Solution Providers Interested parties are hereby invited to participate in an Industry Day session to be held at 0800 (PST) on 1 June 2011 by SMC/XR, regarding potential Air Force System Solution to DOD CPGS mission needs. Prior to industry day, a draft RFI will be posted providing more details about the CPGS AF solution tradespace. SMC/XR intends to use Industry Day to provide additional context to the RFI and allow industry to provide comments and ask questions pertaining to the RFI. The proposed meeting agenda is: 1. Intro Remarks; SMC/XR 2. PGS Overview: Air Force Global Strike Command to brief • History • ICD • CONOPS 3. CPGS Development Planning: SMC/XR to brief • Overview • Requirements • Terms of Reference 4. RFI: SMC/XR to brief • Contracts Administration • Response requirements o Technology Assessment o Lifecycle Support o Cost Info • Info Exchange • Deliverables/Delivery instructions • Schedule 5. Closing Remarks 6. Lunch Break 7. Government sessions with individual contractors (1-on-1s) • Must sign-up in advance of Industry Day for meeting (no impromptu meetings) The Industry Day session will be held at Aerospace Corporation, 2310 E. El Segundo Blvd. El Segundo, CA 90245-4609, Building A-8 Conference Center. Registration for this event is required. Please contact both the POCs below by email to register for Industry Day and one-on-one sessions. The briefings will be held at the SECRET classification level; therefore attendees must be cleared prior to attending Industry Day. Once an attendee requests to attend Industry Day, they will be emailed additional directions including clearance verification instructions and base entrance instructions. Attendance is limited to no more than 120 people and registration will be closed when that number is met. Due to space constraints, attendance will be limited to five individuals per CAGE code. If a contractor would like to schedule a one-on-one meeting with the Government after the general Industry Day discussion, contractors must request the meeting 72 hours in advance of Industry Day. Meeting time will be limited dependant on the number of requests and the amount of time after the general discussion and the close of business. The requested information shall be submitted no later than 12:00PM (PST) on 26 May 2011. The draft RFI will be released prior to Industry Day for industry feedback and questions. Questions should be provided to the both RFI POCs in writing by 12:00PM (PST) on 26 May 2011. Unless annotated as proprietary to be handled in the individual sessions, questions will be assumed to be general and responses will be provided during the Introductory Briefing. Please Note: This is NOT a "Bidders conference" and this announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The Government will not assume liability for costs incurred by any offeror for presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
