- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to issue a GSA contract to Simmonds Precision Product (Goodrich), Inc. (doing business as Goodrich Fuel & Utilities Systems) for the acquisition of Integrated Maintenance Diagnostics/Health and Usage Monitoring System (IMD HUMS) in support of the UH-1Y Utility and AH-1Z Attack Helicopter. This procurement will be for 26 Lot 9 Kits. This requirement will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition under 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency's requirements. Goodrich is the sole source that possesses the engineering data, technical skills and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, maintenance and support characteristics necessary to provide the IMD HUMS kits. This notice is for information purposes only. Steven Blovin (802) 877-4334 is the point of contact at Goodrich for any subcontracting opportunities. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
