Description

The Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price (FFP) purchase order on a sole source basis with Sturgeon Electrical Company, Inc. of Henderson, Colorado under other than full and open competition for installation of rodent barriers in pad mounted switches at the Department of Commerce (DOC) located at 325 Broadway in Boulder, Colorado. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) (see excerpt below) as primary rationale for Sole Source Determination. (2) Only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS classification is 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. The small business size standard is $14.0 Million.
