Description

DEFENSE COUNSEL TRIAL ADVOCACY COURSE śSexual Assault Defense Course ť will be a 4.5 day lecture and trial advocacy course offered at the contractor ™s facilities. The course will include substantive lectures on various aspects of defending a sexual assault case (See Statement of Work). The lectures will involve legal training by lawyers as well as substantive, technical training by experts in fields such as medicine, toxicology, psychiatry, storytelling, communications and the use of audio visual aids. Additionally, the course will include trial advocacy demonstrations and practical small-group exercises using hypothetical case fact patterns during which participants will conduct mock voir dire, mock opening statements, mock closing arguments, and mock cross examinations of prosecution witnesses.
