- NASA/LaRC has a requirement for the following four tasks:Task 1: Port XTC-1750A Version 1.10A to x86/LinuxThe contractor shall port their XTC-1750A V1.10 C compiler and toolkit to the Linuxoperating system. This port shall faithfully replicate the functionality currently foundin their Solaris implementation. The toolkit shall be rebuilt on a RedHat 9 system(resulting in 32-bit executables).Task 2: Custom Key Generator, x86/Linux HostedThe contractor shall create a non-expiring key generator exclusively for LaRC, which itcan run any time the 1750A toolkit is moved to a new server. The key generator will berebuilt on a RedHat 9 system.Task 3: Supply Source Code to the 1750A ToolkitThe contractor shall deliver a CD containing all source code for the entirety of the1750A toolkit, including C compiler, assembler, linker, source level debugger, and allutilities. In addition, the contractor shall deliver commented makefiles used to performthe x86/Linux port (Task 1) so that LaRC may replicate the build effort in the future.Task 4: Onsite Installation, Test, and Training SupportThe contractor shall travel to LaRCs designated facilities to support the installationand acceptance test of all deliverables from Tasks 1-3, plus provide tutorials on theoperation of any new tools provided (especially the custom key generator from Task 2).This shall be two days consulting excluding travel time.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Theinformation required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred)no later than May 31, 2011. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site forthe release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible fordownloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any).An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note 'B'.Any referenced notes may be viewed at the following URLs link below.
