Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VISN 4) Acquisitions intends to enter into a sole-source procurement with Hi-Def Contracting, Inc., for the repair of inspection-identified deficiencies in the medical gas supply lines at the Heinz VA Medical Center at 1010 Delafield Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15215. NAICS code 423450 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for medical gas system repairs for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of Intent is not a request for quotations. Interested persons may identify their interest in this requirement no later than 10:00 AM EST, May 27, 2011 to: Jeff Greis, Contract Specialist, at Jeffrey.greis @va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
