Description

It is the intent of the Syracuse VA Medical Center, Syracuse NY, to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Project # 528A7-11-728, Physical Security Improvements Phase II. This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. This IFB will be issued on or about May 31, 2011. The NAICS Code is 236220, with a Size Standard of $33.5 million. This project is estimated between $250,000-$500,000. A Site Visit will be scheduled and posted in the Invitation for Bid. SCOPE OF WORK Base Bid: The project includes, but is not limited to removing existing chain link and vinyl fencing and posts, installing ornamental aluminum fencing around both the perimeter and dome inner areas of Building #1. The project also calls for the replacement of existing underground fuel storage tank covers and their concrete pads, as well as adding drainage structures into Parking Lot #1. Bid Option #1: Installation of security bollards and covers into both heated and non-heated sidewalk areas. Bid Option #2: Installation of security hard-scaping, plantings and planting beds into the Emergency Department area. Bid Option #3: Overhead conduit preservation work at Van Buren Avenue.
