- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Division of Reproductive Health, contemplate a sole source award to Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc., 75 Francis St Boston, MA 02115. The contractor shall provide 1) Obtain a list of cases of diabetes in pregnancy based on ICD 9 codes and of possible cases based on other factors (mention of diabetes in the electronic medical record problem list, prescriptions during pregnancy for insulin, or other diabetes-related supplies. 2) Conduct an electronic and paper review of records identified in #1. 3) Send aggregate results to CDC in the form of a report. The purpose of this study is to explore accuracy ICD9-CM codes from hospital discharge records for the identification of cases of GDM. This information will be used to develop algorithms for classifying cases of diabetes in pregnancy in order to conduct GDM surveillance. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 41 U.S.C. 253-a (a) (1), in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541712,with a Standard standards in number of employess 500. As a result of this synopsis, no competitive solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps. The Government will issue only one solicitation to Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. However, all responsible sources that believe they can meet the requirements stated above, are encouraged to submit their capabilities/qualification statement to the Attention of Matthew Ellington, by email at mce8@cdc.gov. Facsimile proposals are not authorized. If responding by email, the subject line must include the following language "Proposal for RFQ#2011-Q-13464. All inquiries must be received no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, June 9, 2011. Determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The U.S. Government assumes no financial obligation for the preparation and distribution of prepared responses.
