Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Pritchett Controls, INC. This firm represents the sole developer for maintenance, calibration, and repair to the INVENSYS NETWORK 8000 CONTROL SYSTEM. The manufacturer is Schneider Electric Buildings Americas INC. Schneider Electric does not perform service/maintenance on the equipment which they manufacturer. Pritchett Controls represents Schneider Electric by performing the service/maintenance on the equipment which Schneider Electric manufacturers. This specific requirement is for the maintenance, calibration, and inspection of the INVENSYS NETWORK 8000 Control System. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238210 and the Business Size Standard is $14 Million. All responses received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time, 06 June 2011. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
