Description
This is a re-posting of information previously announced under Solicitation VA-250-11-IB-0110. All future information will be under this Solicitation Number VA-250-11-RP-0166. This requirement will be a design build type project to provide all necessary work all design, labor, supervision, materials, and equipment to renovate approximately 1500 square feet of existing 1st floor area into a new MRI suite and some minor work in the new Biomedical Equipment Repair area. The MRI Suite will include a waiting area, reception room, interview & preparation room, sub-wait area, MRI magnet room, equipment room and control room. The scope of work includes demolition and new construction of existing areas to allow for the installation of new MRI equipment. Project will include concrete, masonry metals, wood, plastics & composites, thermal & moisture, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, furnishings, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and communications. All work will be performed at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center (ACC), 420 N. James Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219-1834. All work shall be done in accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. SET-ASIDE INFORMATION: This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the authority of Public Law 109-461 (38 USC 8127) and is a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The SDVOSB must be small under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and MUST be registered and able to be verified in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx, https://vets100.vets.dol.gov, and http://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award. Bidders MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate and have not expired prior to bid opening date. Project magnitude is between $250,000.00 - $500,000.00. The NAICS code is 236220 and the business size standard is $33.5 million. BONDS in form of Bid, Payment and Performance will be required. SITE VISIT: will be scheduled and that information will be in the solicitation package. The solicitation documents will be posted at https://www.fbo.gov/ on or before May 25, 2011, with bid opening approximately 30 days later. Dissemination of the specifications is limited to electronic medium. Specifications and Drawings will be available electronically with the solicitation documents. All interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at https://www.fbo.gov/ so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement and for automatic receipt of updates or amendments. A Bidder's mailing list or site visit attendees WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer, as it is the Bidders responsibility to register at the https://www.fbo.gov/ website in the and interested vendor sections. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at https://www.fbo.gov/. Paper copies of the amendment will NOT be individually mailed. No other notification amendment will be provided except through the website. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers as prescribed by FAR 52.214-3 Amendments to Invitation for Bids. Bidders should re-visit the Website periodically to look for updates. All requests for information are required to be in writing to the Contracting Officer and shall be received within 15 days prior to bid opening; no telephone inquiries will be accepted.
