- This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a Robotic System (System) made to the exact specifications of the Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) Special Testing and Research Laboratory (STRL) as stated herein. Bidder shall submit one (1) price quote which includes: a)Actual Cost of the robotic system built to the STRL's specification; b)Delivering the system to the STRL; c)A one (1) year warranty; d)Installation of the system to include System Suitability; and e)Technical training and on-site training for a total of six (6) total DEA employees. 1. The System shall be built to inlcude the following specifications: a. A single elevated table/bench with a non-corrosive surface to support the entire system, including the Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) instrumentation; b. Dimensions to fit within a space of 9.8 feet by 7.8 feet; and c. Demonstrated detection devices to ensure user safety. 2.The System shall contain: a. Centrifuge tube racks (for 15 mL centrifuge tubes); b. A vortex mixer; c. A reagent dispensing station; d. A Centrifuge; e. A capping station for the centrifuge tubes; f. GC vial racks for 2 mL vials; g. A capping station for 2mL GC vials or GC vial piercing station; h. An evaporation station with temperature control capabilities and gas flow capabilities; i. An incubation station; j. A weighing station; k. An interface between the GC/MS systems and preparation system, data transfer and remote start from the robotic system to the GC/MS system; l. A bar code reader; and m. A maximum sample capacity of 200. 3. The System shall include a Microsoft Windows-based software terminal enabling computerized control of the robotic system that satisfies the following requirements: a. The ability to schedule and begin sample runs through a graphical user interface; b. The ability to react to sample preparation and analysis error; c. The ability to communicate with four (4) GC/MS instruments; d. The ability to communicate with STARLIMS laboratory information management system; e. The ability to append a sequence once a run starts and the option to batch any of the (4) four GS/MC instruments that is available; and f. Include Microsoft windows based automation software for user friendliness. 4. The contractor will also be required to provide advanced technical training to two (2) DEA employees designated as the robotic system monitors whom are responsible for daily maintenance and minor repairs of the system. The contractor will also provide software training, to four (4) DEA employees that is sufficient to enable the employees to schedule and run samples on a daily basis.
