Description

The SOW amended The solicitation response date has been change to June 10, 2011 at 3:00pm. The Statement of Work as been amended to add this information: The text below is to replace Section 5b., Paragraph #4 in the SOW for National Library of Medicine Internet Connectivity. Additionally, NLM's Internet connection circuits must be physically diverse from the NIH/CIT campus Internet connection at two known locations. These two locations are: (1) the circuit infrastructure on the NIH/CIT campus and (2) the POP of the current NIH/CIT circuit provider, AboveNet. The AboveNet POP is located on Boone Ave in Tyson's Conner, VA. The exact route of the circuit between NIH/CIT and the AboveNet POP is not known to NLM, and therefore diversity cannot be evaluated for the entire circuit route that the vendor proposes. The NIH/CIT campus Internet connection is currently provided by AboveNet fiber that is patched from the Rockville Pike egress near Wilson Drive to the NIH-owned duct bank on the NIH campus. From there it runs to NIH Building 12 over NIH communications infrastructure. In order to provide physical diversity for NLM from the NIH campus connection described above, the vendor is strongly encouraged to use the existing dedicated fiber conduit currently installed between Rockville Pike and NLM Building 38A. This conduit originates from the manhole just south of Center Drive/Jones Bridge Road on Rockville Pike and terminates in the NLM Building 38A Frame Room. This conduit has available capacity for additional fiber. The vendor is also free to propose an alternative connection into NLM that is diverse from the NIH/CIT Internet connection.
