Description

This is a commercial item acquisition conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12. This acquisition is for the provision of Health Care for Homeless Veterans Services. The Miami VA Healthcare System intends to award a firm fixed price requirements contract on an unrestricted basis. NAICS Code: 624229, Size Standard: $7.0 MIL. The contractor shall provide to the Miami VA Healthcare System, Transitional Housing for Homeless, Chronically Mentally Ill and Substance Abusing Veterans. All contractor employees doing business with the Department of Veterans Affairs shall be the subject of a background investigation. The contract period will consist of one (1) base period with four (4) one (1) year options to extend the term of the contract. The electronic Solicitation for RFP VA-248-11-RP-0131 may be downloaded at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The offeror is responsible for downloading all amendments and other documents from the FBO website without further notices from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Miami VA HealthCare System. Interested firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration System (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. All questions must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer via e-mail to Louis.Fitzgerald@va.gov, or fax your written request to (305) 575-3280 attention Louis Fitzgerald. Solicitation issue date will be on or about June 1, 2011, with offers tentatively due 15 days thereafter. Proposals shall be submitted by June 13, 2011 at 3:00 pm (EST) either by mail or handcarried to 1201 NW 16th St. RM 2A157T, Miami, Florida, 33125. FAX/E-MAIL PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. All necessary solicitation documents will be available on/after March 3, 2009, on the FedBizOpps system, including any amendments.
