- Contractors are invited to attend a free half-day symposium on ethics and integrity in federal government contracts, Tuesday, June 7, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the A.J. Celebrezze Federal Building, 1240 E. Ninth St. in Cleveland, OH. The event is part of a group effort to transform our business and government community into one that promotes a culture of ethical business practices. It will include panel discussions on understanding business ethics and compliance rules, working in the construction industry, and working with service and supply contracts. The event will also provide training on the Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System (FAPIIS), a new tool for evaluating business ethics and quality of prospective federal contractors. You will learn: - why the tool was established - how the information will be used in source selection decisions - how a contractor responds to information in its record Ann P. Kalayil, GSA Great Lakes Regional Administrator and Steven Dettelbach, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, will speak at the event, sponsored jointly by the General Services Administration and the Northeast Ohio Business Ethics Coalition.
