- Description
- This project will include the complete construction of a Battle Command Training Center (BCTC). The project location is at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The project will include the construction of 46,060 SF BCTC for the support of tactical units being stationed at Fort Sam Houston. The BCTC is required to support the increases in Virtual and Live training and will have an after action review theater and studio, multi-purpose classrooms, general purpose administration, special storage and work cells. Supporting facilities include utilities, electric service, fire protection and alarm systems, parking, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, storage space, storm drainage, information systems, a special electronic security system, landscaping and site improvements. Anti-terrorism measures include laminated glass, exterior lighting and stand-off distances. Air conditioning is estimated at 90 tons. Sustainable Design, Development and Energy Policy Act of 2005 features will be provided.
