- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY For Engineering Service, Munitions Trailer Adapter Department of the Air Force Materiel Command, OO-ALC/GHGKA PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement, market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that possess the engineering and manufacturing knowledge for the 141 Munitions Trailer for the AGM-114, Hellfire Missile. No proposal is requested or accepted with this synopsis. This is not a solicitation for proposal and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command, OO-ALC/GHGGA, Hill AFB is conducting a market survey for Engineering Service to design and develop a missile adapter using the existing Munitions Trailer 141 (MHU-141), National Stock Number (NSN)1740-01-031-05868. The purpose of this task is to design and develop a missile adapter for munitions trailer MHU-141 to transport a minimum of 6 each Air-to-Ground Missile (AGM) 114, Hellfire. Missile adapter must stay within the same shock and vibration levels as a containerized missile during transportation to and from the flight line; the missile adapter will eliminate the use of the missile container and allow easy access to load, unload and transport the AGM-114, Hellfire missile from and to the flight line. The task shall include the shock and vibration study to measure the transportation and handling shock and vibration levels on the current missile container configuration in the field/flight line. If all engineering requirements are meet the government will require the delivery of drawings, specifications and prototype adapter, no production requirement is needed or requested for this task. Small business designation/status claimed No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests.
