Description

The Government intends to award a sole source firm fixed price (FFP) definite quantity contract to Oshkosh Corporation (OSK), 2307 Oregon Street, Oshkosh, WI 54903-2566 to procure 524 Sliding Fifth Wheel Kits for the United States Navy. These kits are defined by ECP 73 to be added to the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) MK31 Tractor. This procurement supports acquisition of systems previously developed, tested, and produced by Oshkosh. As the MTVR developer and sole producer, Oshkosh alone has the unique specific knowledge of the system design necessary to satisfy the USMC requirement. To date, the Marine Corps and Navy have procured 11,079 MTVR vehicles, 9,221 for the Marine Corps and 1,858 for the Navy. It is anticipated that a resultant contract award will have a period of performance of 6 months. There is no technical data package available. This is not a request for proposals.
