- This is modification 2 to the Request for Information NNJ11373245L, entitled'CUSTODIAL SUPPORT SERVICES CONTRACT' (CSSC), which was posted on February 25, 2011. As part of the Governments continuous information exchange with industry whileformulating the acquisition strategy for the Custodial Support Services Contract (CSSC)requirements (cleaning operations, pest control management, recycling, waste management,special events, and emergency services) the Government requests your assistance as itseeks to arrive at the most suitable approach for acquiring these services. TheGovernment is exploring the opportunity to set aside the CSSC as a HUBZone Set-aside witha base period of performance of 7 months and four 1 year options to meet fiscal yearfunding requirements. The information contained herein is pre-decisional and does notconstitute a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation, and isnot to be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract. The NAICS Code for the proposed acquisition is 561720 and the small business sizestandard is $16.5 Million/year. The maximum award value is anticipated to be $25 Millionafter all options have been exercised. In order for NASA to make this determination, the Government requests information inorder to gain knowledge from potential offers.Please provide a brief response to the following question:1) How would contract duration impact the quality of the work and best value for theGovernment? Specifically, discuss your views regarding factors such as base period andoptions.RESPONSE DUE: All Interested parties responses shall be submitted via e-mail to JannetteR. Bolden at Jannette.r.bolden@nasa.gov. Responses are required by 12:00 p.m. CentralTime on Friday, 06/03/2011. Please reference NNJ11373245L in any response. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot beaccepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government is under noobligation to issue a solicitation or to award any contract on the basis of thissynopsis. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. No evaluationletters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No solicitation exists;therefore, requests for copies will not be provided. If a future solicitation is releasedit will be synopsized in FedBizOps.gov and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service.Potential offerors are responsible to monitor these sites for the release of any futuresolicitation or synopsis. The Government intends to review the responses submitted byIndustry. This data will not be shared outside the Government. The Government may usethis data to refine requirements and develop a request for a proposal. Data that issubmitted as part of Industrys response that is marked Proprietary will not bereviewed.
