Description
Wage Determination Drawing/Map Sheet 2 Drawing/Map Sheet 1 Solicitation Package This description has been edited. Solicitation issued June 1, 2011. Quotes due June 15, 2011 The services covered in this project are for planting approximately 2,000 government-furnished native willow and cottonwood cuttings, and 400 contractor-provided nursery propagated rooted willow plugs at three locations in the Lightning Creek watershed. All planting will occur within 30 feet of the stream channel at designated sites as marked. Erosion control in the form of straw bales will be required to ensure no sediment enters the stream. The project is located on the Sandpoint Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle NF, Bonner County, Idaho. From the intersection of Highway 200 and Highway 95 at the Sand Creek Bridge, proceed on Highway 200 east to the town of Clark Fork. Turn left on Mosquito Creek Road and proceed approximately 1 mile to the 419 Lightning Creek Road. It is 3 miles to the Forest Service boundary. From there, drive approximately 7 miles to the first work site at the 419 bridge that crosses the East Fork of Lightning Creek. At 14.2 miles up the 419 Road is the 14.2 work site and at 14.3 miles is the Rattle Creek bridge work site. The period of performance is 5 consecutive days Monday - Friday. The estimated start time is June or Oct 2011 and no work will be allowed on weekends or holidays.
