Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Charles River SPAFAS, 106 Route 32, North Franklin, CT 06254, for 120 Research Grade SPF chicken eggs, #10100329, delivered to CDC each week for 52 weeks. These eggs will be used for preparing vaccine candidate seed viruses; the project requires pathogen-free embryonated chicken eggs. Eggs must be tested for 32 or more pathogens, taking into account different serotypes. Eggs must also meet the requirements set forth by the WHO (World Health Organization). This procurement is tentatively scheduled to being on July 21, 2011, but is subject to availability of funds. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This procurement is not set-aside for small business. For contractual questions contact Linda M.
