- Concession Business Opportunity For Interpretive Boat Tour Services at Buck Island Reef National Monument. The National Park Service will issue a prospectus for soliciltation of offers for a ten year concession contract to provide schedule Interpretive Boat Tours with guided Snorkeling and other service with Buck Island Reef National Monument. Buck Island Reef National Monument is located 1.5 miles from the North Shore of the United States Virgin Islands. Buck Island Reef NM is located about 5 miles east of the town Christianstead, St. Croix. The Gross revenues over the past five years have been from $509,687 to $657,407 annually. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR 51 has determined that this is not a qualified contract, with regard to preferrence of a Preferred Offeror, and therefore, there is no Preferred Offeror for this contract exist. This solicitation for commercial services is fully competitive. Any Offers, including that of the existing concessioner must be received by the NPS at the address listed in the Prospectus no later than 4:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2011 in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of the concession contract. The Prospectus will describes the business opportunity, the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract. The Prospectus is available on the NPS website at HTTP://CONCESSIONS.NPS.GOV/PROSPECTUS.CFM, or you can request a hard copy for $50.00. To request a hard copy of the prospectus send a check in the amount of $50 to Mark Morgan, Commercial Management Specialist, National Park Service, AFC, 1924 Building, 100 Alabama Street, S.W., Atlanta, GA 30303 or call at (404) 507-5638 or email at Mark_Morgan@NPS.GOV. This amount includes an administrative fee of $45 to recoupe printing fee and a $5.00 federal express shipping fee. Please include a physical address and a phone number, no PO Box addresses will be accepted. You can also purchase a copy at the Superintendent's Headquarters Office for $45.00. If you are planning to submit a proposal and has obtained yoiur information from the website, we recommend that you contact Mark Morgan at the e:mail or phone number above to have your name included on the list for future responses, amendments, questions regarding any changes to prospectus. Those who have requested hard copies of the prospectus will automatically receive the updates unless specifically requested not to be included on the list.
