Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is NOT an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal. This notice is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District is seeking eligible small business firms capable of performing the below stream and aquatic ecosystem restoration project. Brief Description: The work consists of restoring existing streams and constructing two dry detention ponds for the Town of Cary, NC. The work includes the relocation of two existing streams, filling in of two existing streams, construction of stream restoration features, construction of bank full bench cuts at three locations, raising existing gravel road for construction of two dry detention ponds. Work shall include but not be limited to clearing and grubbing, grading, backfilling, stream restoration features such as rock vanes, cross vanes, root wads, live staking, and storm drainage. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be $100,000 to $250,000. The appropriate NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. The small business size standard for this NAICS is $33,500,000. It is requested that capable and interested small businesses provide the following information: (1) Company name, point of contact, telephone number, email address, and DUNS number. (2) Business type: 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Woman Owned Business, small business, etc. (3) Relevant experience to include projects completed within the past 7 years; minimum information must include the following: Final contract price, project location, date of substantial completion, a brief description of the project, and indication of whether your firm was the prime or a subcontractor. RESPONSES ARE DUE by June 20, 2011 AT 12:00 PM EST. All responses must be submitted via e-mail to Candy Rudner at candy.s.rudner@usace.army.mil. All information is to be provided on a voluntary basis at no charge to the Government. There is no entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs related to or arising out of responding to this request for information. All information provided becomes property of the Government. There is no guarantee, expressed or implied, that the market research for this acquisition will result in any guarantee of award or acquisition strategy.
