Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 6 Network Contracting Activity located in Hampton, Virginia plans to contract by means of other than full and open competition for the purchase of a Parks FLO-LAB 2100 SX Bi-Directional Doppler Unit. The Government intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Wellness Technologies Inc., SO-4 Lake Cherokee, Henderson, TX 75652 for this requirement under the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated contract will be for a Firm Fixed-Price, one-time purchase. The NAICS code is 339112 and the Classification code is 6515. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. No Solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability and qualifications of the firm to provide this product. Information may be sent to the Contracting Officer, VA Medical Center, 27 Averill Avenue, Hampton, VA 23667. Responses are due by June 10, 2011 at 4:00 PM EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and may be reviewed by Government technical representatives for consideration of future requirements.
