Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a 12-month extension to contract N00024-08-C-5377, for U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Depot Level Maintenance Facility requirements and Intermediate Level Maintenance Facilities for SM-2, SM-3 and SM6 on a sole source basis to Raytheon Missile Systems, 1151 East Hermans Road, Tucson, Arizona 85734. These requirements include providing Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM) for recertification of SM-2 Blocks IIIA, IIIB, and IV and SM-3 rounds and SM-6 at the Camden facility, and Depot Level Maintenance services at Tucson. In addition they include providing logistics support services that will include maintenance support services, re-certifications and depot repair, warranty re-certifications, integrated logistics support service, and Provisioned Item Order (PIO) spares to support Depot Level re-certification. The anticipated contract period of performance for this requirement will be from 1 October 2011 through 30 September 2012. Raytheon is the prime contractor for the STANDARD Missile program. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Raytheon Missile Systems directly. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single Government point-of-entry (GPE) for the posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable.
