- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Glenn Research Center isreleasing a Cooperative Agreement Notice (CAN) to administer the MotivatingUndergraduates in Science and Technology (MUST) Project, which is a competitivescholarship opportunity for undergraduate students specifically targeting risingsophomores and juniors from underrepresented and underserved groups in Science,Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The CAN will be availableupon its release by opening the NASA Research Opportunities homepage athttp://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/ and then linking through menu listingsSolicitations to Open Solicitations. The overall goal of the proposed cooperativeagreement is to manage, administer and support the Motivating Undergraduates in Sciencesand Technology (MUST) Project through staffing, operations, and contentdevelopment/delivery of annual face-to-face scholar orientation and professionalopportunities for students. The MUST objectives are to 1) Strengthen the NationalAeronautics Space Administration (NASA) and the Nations future workforces; 2) Attract,recruit and retain a diverse group of students from underrepresented and underservedgroups in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines; 3) EngageAmericans in NASAs mission. Proposal from outside the United States will not beconsidered and all NASA education and training grant funds, as required by 14 CFRSections 1260.12(c)(2) and 1260.12(c)(3), support students and faculty that are U.S.citizens. An organizations relevant current and past performance will be one of theevaluation criteria for selection (all evaluation factors and subfactors will be definedin the CAN). As defined in the NASA Grant and Cooperative Agreement Handbook, recipientsof NASA cooperative agreements may not be paid a profit. Proposal due date and exactlocation of proposal submission will be identified in the CAN.Proposals received afterthe deadline will not be considered. For this notice, the provisions contained in theNASA Grant and Cooperative Agreement Handbook (NPR 5800.1) applies.Offerors are responsible for monitoring the NSPIRES site for the release of anyamendments. Recipient eligibility will be based upon the requirements that are set forthin the CAN. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of thesolicitation and amendments (if any).
