Description
The USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Small Boat Product Line (SBPL) is seeking sources geographically located on the West Coast of the continental United States to provide overhaul services for Honda 225HP and 150HP engines including lower units. The overhauls shall be completed in accordance with Coast Guard specifications and shall require the use of only genuine OEM parts-no substitutes or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. It is the Government's belief that only Honda and/or their authorized repair facilities possess the necessary proprietary technical and engineering data to successfully overhauls these Engines, therefore it is the Government's intent to solicit only Honda and/or their authorized repair facilities. However, other concerns having the capabilities to provide this service and supply genuine OEM parts are invited to submit complete information discussing their capabilities within 15 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information submitted must include: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the offeror's capabilities (i.e. demonstration of authorization as a Honda repair facility from Honda; salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics of parts) and/or (2) Data that the offered services and parts have been satisfactorily provided to the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited.
