- The United States Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business. The NAICS Code is 336611. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The acquisition is for DOCKSIDE repairs to the USCGC DALLAS (WHEC-716), a 378 Foot "E Class" High Endurance Cutter. The vessel's home port is 1050 Register St., Charleston, SC 29405. All work will be performed at the cutters home port. The performance period will be Fifty-two (52) calendar days with a start date of 1 September 2011 through 23 October 2011. The scope of the acquisition is for the Maintenance & Repair 2 Dockside repair of the USCGC DALLAS (WHEC-716), will include, but is not limited to: Circuit Breakers (60Hz), Inspect and Test Circuit Breakers (400Hz), Inspect and Test Electric Meters, Calibrate Halon System, Inspect and Hydrostatic Test Potable Water Pneumatic Tanks Inspect and Clean Cleaning Gear Locker 1-218-2-A Deck Plating Renewal Storage Locker 2-90-2-A Deck Plating Renewal SK Stores Steel Deck Repairs Fan Room 2-160-1-Q Complete Preservation Sounding Tube Renewal Tank (MP Fuel) Clean Three Berthing Heads Renewal Gunwhale Steel Renewal Vent Drain Piping System Fantail Rail Renewal STBD Main Deck Longitudinal and Bulkhead Repair Lube Oil Fill Station Repair BOSN Workshop Hull Insulation Renewal Captain's Overhead Repairs Temporary Services All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. In accordance with FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified or FAR 19.1404, if you firm is SDVOSB or FAR 19.501, if your firm is a Small Business and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to Mia.R.Mayers@uscg.mil or by fax (757) 628-4674. Your response is required by 12:00 p.m., (Eastern Time) on June 13, 2011. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business set aside or Small Business set aside. Failure to submit all information requested may result in an unrestricted acquisition. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone or SDVOSB small business set aside, or a Small Business set aside, will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
