- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation AG-4146-S-11-0007 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect in the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-50. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. Clauses and provisions can be found at https://www.acquisition.gov/comp/far/index.html. This is a total 8(a) set-side competition, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 115112. Contract line item 01: The contractor shall provide any and all labor, supplies, tools, transportation and supervision necessary for herbicide application by direct spray and injection methods. The project is approximately 448 acres and is within the boundaries of the Oakmulgee Division of the Talladega National Forest in Bibb, Chilton, Dallas, and Perry Counties, Alabama. *PLEASE SEE ATTACHED DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK, AND MAPS* *A Pre-Quote meeting is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. CST Tuesday, June 21, 2011 on the Oakmulgee Ranger District Office at the intersection of US Highway 82 and State Highway 5 and 58, Brent, Alabama 35553. Interested vendors are encouraged to attend. The period of performance will be from award, approximately July 12, 2011 to October 15, 2011, intermittently, as weather permits. Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Request for Quotation (RFQ) should be submitted and shall contain the following information: RFQ NUMBER; TIME SPECIFIED FOR RECEIPT OF OFFERS; NAME, ADDRESS; TELEPHONE NUMBER OF OFFEROR; TERMS OF THE EXPRESSED WARRANTY; ANY DISCOUNT TERMS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ALL SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS (if applicable). Signed quotes must indicate quantity, unit price and total amount for each item.
