- Description
- The purpose of this modification is to address contractor questions below and revise Statement of Work section 5(B)(b), "6-Feet Chain Link Fence with Concrete Footings" to incorporate the response to contractor questions. Question 1: We now have a brand new chain link fence panel. This panel system uses a metal stand, which does less damage to grass areas and tree roots than a concrete block, plus we can easily add sand bags or angle braces for additional support. Can this be accepted as an equivalent? Response to Question 1: Items offered as "equivalent" will be considered by the Government and may be accepted if it is determined to fulfill the technical requirements of the Government. Offeror's of equivalent items must provide sufficient detail (descriptive literature, photos, etc.) to decribe the item being offered for review and approval by the Government. The Government will accept use of the metal stand (in place of concrete footings) as a method to stand the fencing. Question 2: Will there be a lay down area provided this year and any idea where that might be? Response to Question 2: The lay down area will be between Survey Lodge and the Tidal Basin parking lot. Previous Statement of Work Section 5B(b): Fencing shall be interlocked by clamping sections together or by interlocking pins and shall be installed through the use of concrete blocks as not to disturb the grounds/structures. Revised Statement of Work Section 5B(b): Fencing shall be interlocked by clamping sections together or by interlocking pins and shall be installed through the use of concrete blocks, or approved method, as not to disturb the grounds/structures.
