Description

THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Iowa intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all tools, materials, equipment and labor necessary for completion of general construction project 636A8-11-017, "Install Ceiling Lifts, 5E, Clinics", at the Iowa City VAHCS, Iowa City, Iowa, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. This project requires installation of ceiling lifts at the VA Medical Center, Iowa City, Iowa, in accordance with the drawings and specifications provided by the selected ceiling lift company, ARJO Inc. Work will take place in 14 patient rooms and 13 patient bathrooms on the 5th floor; in the cast room, 2S11; and in the Physical Therapy Gym, 2S14 and includes all work required to install the ceiling lifts per the requirements of the ceiling lift company. Estimated duration: 2.5 years (installation is tied to 4E/5E Renovation and PACT Addition projects) Specifications and Drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/). Bidders must be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to (felecia.beamen@va.gov). Issue Date is tentatively scheduled for August 1, 2011. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. Bid Opening Date is tentatively scheduled for August 31, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. (local time), in Bldg. #21, Room #1B03f at the Iowa City VAMC, Iowa City, IA, but exact date may vary depending on issuance of the solicitation. The applicable NAICS Code is 238290, with the applicable size standard being $14.0 million. Cost range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.
