Description
NSWC, Corona Division has a requirement for the procurement of Security Services appliance. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price delivery order on a sole-source basis. The sole-source contractor is i-Assure. i-Assure is the sole source inventor, installer and support contractor for the Security Services Appliance. The Security Services Appliance is a self-contained appliance implemented on embedded VMWare VSphere technology and Microsoft Windows 2003 R2. The salient characteristics for this requirement are: Functional Requirements are as follows: The appliance needs to fit a 2U rack space and be outfitted with a high-performing IntelR XeonR Processor 5500 Series or better, allow for large memory capacity, and I/O bandwidth including streamlined deployment, with hypervisors from VMware, Citrix and Microsoft. In addition the hardware platform requires the following features to support availability:.Dual, redundant power supplies to support failover.Dual, quad network interface cards for network load balancing and failover.RAID 1 hard drive configuration for full mirroring.Dual, six core processors.Dual ranked memory The appliance needs to be preconfigured with the following Department of Defense Enterprise Information Assurance (IA) products:.Host Based Security System (HBSS),.Secure Configuration Compliance Validation Initiative (SCCVI).Secure Configuration Remediation Initiative (SCRI).Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).Enterprise Antivirus.Enterprise Auditing Base operating systems and all applications are required to be configured in accordance with their respective DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG). The appliance is required to be fully patched and all vulnerabilities mitigated. A Technical Description Manual, all software and software licenses are to be provided upon delivery. Provide help desk technical support to facilitate installation. This requirement will be awarded on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Part 6.301(c). Award date will be on or around June 20, 2011. This is not a request for quotes, however; any responsible source having the technical capabilities to meet the requirement described may submit a quote along with their technical capabilities to include complete and detailed technical specification of their product, past performance information, price, and lead time for consideration via email to: Marlena.warren@navy.mil.
