THE IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. A SUBSEQUENT SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT MAY FOLLOW. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO ANY FUTURE ANNOUNCEMENT. The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Cleveland, Ohio, anticipates award of an indefinite quantity FIRM FIXED PRICE contract. The goal of this contract is to place veterans in community-based, residential environments, providing sufficient services to meet the needs of the veterans while they are undergoing Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Substance Abuse treatment at local VAMC Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC). Contract for IOP treatment housing contract: The contractor shall furnish temporary residential housing for the beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Cleveland, Ohio. The housing shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, beds, restroom, bath, and kitchen facilities, and related furnishings. The contractor shall provide food for three balanced meals daily and snacks daily to each resident. The Contractor shall also provide personal hygiene items, first aid supplies, and storage for personal belongings as needed. The contractor shall provide services to beneficiaries for whom such care is specifically authorized by the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center herein after referred to as the VAMC. The contractor shall provide to the VAMC, in accordance with all terms and conditions, services, provisions and requirements listed herein for the sum quoted. This rate is inclusive of all services as may be necessary in the housing and treatment of the patient. Unless specifically excluded in this contract, the per diem rate established will include the services listed in this document and will also include all services normally provided to other patients by the facility without extra charge. It is understood that the type of patients to be cared for under this contract will normally require care and services over and above the level of room and board. Veterans may have ongoing multiple substance abuse or dependency problems and/or mental illnesses. The facility will not be used for detoxification or other hospital level treatment, the VAMC will serve as treatment center for medical and mental health problems. The geographical areas of interest are Stark County, Mahoning County, Trumbull County and Summit County of the state of Ohio. NO ENTITLEMENT TO PAYMENT OF DIRECT OR INDIRECT COSTS OR CHARGES INCLUDING POSTAGE AND SHIPPING WILL ARISE AS A RESULT OF THE SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION.
