- Description
- This project is being solicited under the Air Force Straddle Bid Authority. Funds are not currently available for this project, and no award will be made until funds become available. The Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation, either before or after the proposal closing date with no obligation to the offeror. FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds will be incorporated into the solicitation. This synopsis is for the Installation of Cathodic Telemetry Water Tanks Basewide on Hurlburt Field FL. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, and equipment to perform all operations necessary to accomplish all work as shown on the drawings and. The general work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following principal feature: 1. Locating existing utilities at all Water Tower and Deluge Sites and ensuring work does not disrupt existing utility services, 2. Installing new Cathodic Protection Monitoring Systems at each separate Cathodic Protection System, 3. Installing new JACE 200 devices at each monitoring site, 4. Installing new NEMA 3R boxes (on unistrut or adjacent walls) in locations where there are no generator control panels, 5. Installing new Cat 6 cables in conduit between the Cathodic Protection Monitoring System and JACE devices, and 6. Connecting from the Cathodic Protection Monitoring System to the existing Cathodic Protection System on each deluge tank/water tower. These connections are analog. This acquisition will be set aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237110 with a size standard of $33.5M. This contract will be a "Price Performance Trade-Off" contract; award will be made based on the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is 120 calendar days. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 27 June 2011. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. This solicitation will be available ONLY via the Internet at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov.
