Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W912EQ-11-Q-0015 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is being set aside 100% small business, associated NAICS code is 532412 with $7.0 million. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes may be submitted in hard copy or electronically, either through regular mail, email, or by facsimile. Regardless of method of delivery, it is the offerors responsibility to ensure receipt of quotes by the time and date stated herein. Contractors shall submit a lump sum quote to include all charges. Response to this solicitation must be received via email, fax, mail, or delivery by June 17, 2011 no later than 12:00 PM CST at 167 North Main Street B202, Memphis, TN 38103. Quotes should be marked with solicitation number W912EQ-11-Q-0015 addressed to Priscilla Sweeney, Contract Officer, Phone (901) 544-3117, Fax (901) 544-3710, email: Priscilla.g.sweeney@usace.army.mil. Vendors not registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award will not be eligible for award. Vendors may register for CCR by calling 1-800-334-3414 or register online at www.ccr.gov. The requirement is to provide rental equipment for use in Plaquemines Parish near Empire Lock. The project is located in South Louisiana, about 60 miles south of the New Orleans, along Mississippi River. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment; material, supervision, transportation and any services perform work in accordance with the statement of work. The following description of rental equipment includes: 01One (1) ea. Long Reach Excavator (Volvo EC290BLR or equivalent). 02One (1) ea. High Wide Track, Low Ground Pressure D6 Dozer with 6-way blade and enclosed cab with air (Cat D6N or equivalent). 03One (1) ea High Wide Track, Low Ground Pressure D6 Dozer with 6-way blade and enclosed cab with air (Cat D6N or equivalent). 04One (1) ea Farm Tractor with dual rear wheels and front wheel assist (Case MX 275 or equivalent) 05One (1) ea. 4000 Gallon Water Truck The rental period is for 90 days. The rental periods will begin on the day the equipment is delivered. Operations may require equipment to be delivered on different days. Equipment will be delivered within two business days of government personnel requesting the equipment. Changes in site conditions or mission requirement may eliminate the need for some of the equipment. Contractor will furnish filters, oil and labor to perform all normal operational and scheduled preventative maintenance such as changing air cleaner, filters, and oil filter as required by the manufacturer. Contractor personnel will perform oil sampling if required and contractor will supply all equipment necessary. The government will perform minor interim maintenance (lubing, greasing, etc) as required by the manufacturer between routine contractor servicing visits. If equipment fails and requires services the contractor shall provide qualified service personnel with tools and equipment to the jobsite within 24 hours of being notified of any equipment failure. Contractor shall repair or replace equipment with 24 hours at no additional charge to the government. The contractor will adhere to all OSHA and the Corps Safety Manual, EM 385-1-1 Contractor shall submit completed clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications, Commercial Items.
