Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W912EQ-11-Q-0013 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is being set aside 100% small business, associated NAICS code is 484220 with $25.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes may be submitted in hard copy or electronically, either through regular mail, email, or by facsimile. Regardless of method of delivery, it is the offerors responsibility to ensure receipt of quotes by the time and date stated herein. Contractors shall submit a lump sum quote to include all charges. Response to this solicitation must be received via email, fax, mail, or delivery by June 17, 2011 no later than 12:00 PM CST at 167 North Main Street B202, Memphis, TN 38103. Quotes should be marked with solicitation number W912EQ-11-Q-0013 addressed to Priscilla Sweeney, Contract Officer, Phone (901) 544-3117, Fax (901) 544-3710, email: Priscilla.g.sweeney@usace.army.mil. Vendors not registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award will not be eligible for award. Vendors may register for CCR by calling 1-800-334-3414 or register online at www.ccr.gov. Contract shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, material, supervision, transportation and any services to perform this work. Contractor is to provide dirt material and hauling to Mississippi River Levee as far south as Empire LA. The delivery location will vary material will be delivered as far south as two miles past Hwy 11 bridge that is out (Empire lock) to as far north as Port Sulphur, LA. The project is located in Plaquemines Parish on the Mississippi River Levee. The burrow source must be a Corps of Engineers approved pit. The material hauling will not be continuous hauling due to the limited space available for truck maneuverability, weather and other factors. The delivery of material must be weighed before loading and after. Payment will be based upon tonnage. Line Item 0001: 35000 tonDirt Material and Hauling Dump trucks and not fifth wheel dump bed trailers shall be used due to the limited maneuverability space. Dump trucks shall be able to haul a minimum of 20 tons of dirt per trip. Contractor is required to provide drivers with a ticket that will contain the following information: 1.Truck Identifier (License Plate Number) 2.Weight empty 3.Weight loaded 4.Amount hauled The contractor shall adhere to all OSHA standards and the Corps Safety Manual, EM 385-1-1/ The period of performance is 90 days. Period of performance will begin on the day the first load of material is hauled. Contractor shall submit completed clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications, Commercial Items.
