Description
The Army Contracting Command - Picatinny, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000, on behalf of the Project Manager Towed Artillery Systems intends to issue a solicitation requirement for an Electronic Thermal Warning Device (ETWD) in support of the Lightweight 155mm Howitzer program. The ETWD shall be built in accordance with the Statement of Work, Technical Data Package (TDP) and Performance Specifications within the Solicitation. This will be a Full and Open Competition (F&OC) acquisition which the Government intends to make only one award as a result of this Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government will select for award the proposal that is the most advantageous and represents the best valued offer to the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ), Firm Fixed Price contract(s) with a duration of five years, which includes First Article Testing and ETWD production units. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be posted on the US Army JM&L Contracting Center Procurement Network website located at http://procnet.pica.army.mil and FedBizOpps https://www.fbo.gov/. Be advised that this notice does not constitute an RFP. The RFP will be issued on or about 27 June 2011. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database by accessing the CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for contract award.
