- This is a Sources Sought notice and is intended for information and planning purposes only. This is NOT a Solicitation announcement. This advertisement is intended as Market Research to acquire information regarding potential qualified source(s) with a strong emphasis on Small, Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, Women-Owned Small Businesses, and Small Businesses, to provide Shaman Services for performance of Sweat Lodge Ceremonies to be held at the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System, 500 Foothill Blvd., Salt Lake City, Utah. These services are considered an alternative therapeutic treatment and a part of the Mental Health quality of patient care continuum. They are not considered a religious service. Sweat Lodge Ceremonies shall be conducted for veterans, patients, residents, and outpatients being treated at this medical facility with a focus on patients in the Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program. The ceremonial meal shall be included as part of the service. The estimated contract performance period will be from Date of Award through September 30, 2011, with provisions for four (4) one- year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 813319 and size standard $7.0 million. All prospective offerors in response to any Federal Agency must obtain a Dun and Bradstreet Number at www.dnb.com. There is no cost to obtain this number. Offerors must also register at the Central Contractor Registration site at www.ccr.gov. Offerors must complete Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA), https://orca.bpn.gov. Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business or Veteran Owned Business must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center of Veterans Enterprise Vet Biz Registry located at http://vip.vet.gov. All interested concerns must submit their company name, D&B Number, type of business concern and a statement of capability and qualifications to perform the requirements to the Contracting Officer.
