- Description
- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): SITE DEVELOPMENT INC. W911XK-C-0026, RED RUN CONSTRUCTION PROJECT 76281 DT001 Slope Repair Area Change The design does not account for the transition from the existing to the proposed top of bank. The transition from existing to proposed top of bank will be tapered to provide a smooth transition into and out of the slope repair areas as shown on sheet no. CG502-1. The service access road shall be constructed/maintained no closer than 5 feet from the edge of the proposed top of bank as shown on sheet no. CG502-2&3. Tree removal may be necessary to properly construct the service access road. DT006 Concrete, Debris and Duct Bank Issues Item 1. Upon excavation, concrete was discovered between the 96" and 114" pipes at the proposed location of Manhole SS11 in Area 5. Some concrete shall be removed to allow for proper excavation down to the required depth and to properly remove the 48" pipe that connects into the 114" pipe. The remaining concrete will be used to help support proposed Manhole SS11. The Contractor shall test the concrete to ensure its structural integrity. If structurally sound, the Contractor shall dowel into the concrete and pour the manhole base around it. Item 2. Miss Dig discovered an electrical duct bank that ran directly through the proposed location of Manhole SD1 and SD2 in Area 1. In order to avoid damaging or rerouting the duct bank the Contractor chose to move the proposed location of Manhole SD1 and SD2 roughly 6 feet east. This location was the only option the Contractor had within the right-of-way. While installing the earth retention system the electrical duct bank shall remain supported at all times. The Contractor shall hand dig around duct bank. Item 3. The unmarked duct bank that was discovered during Miss Digs visit forced the Contractor to relocate Manhole SD1 and SD2 at the location of the 12 inch watermain. The watermain shall be rerouted to avoid the new proposed location of Manhole SD1 and SD2. Item 4. While excavating the Contractor encountered various debris slowing the earth retention installation process down. The Contractor shall provide all documentation of debris encountered along with impact costs associated with the debris encountered in Option 7 areas. DEBRIS DOES NOT INCLUDE SOIL ENCOUNTERED DURING EXCAVATION
