- This is a PRESOLICITATION Notice for the following: Procurement is 100 percent HUBZone Small Business Set-Aside Project Name: Rehabilitate Munising Range Light Station at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Munising, Michigan. The North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) Code: 236220 "Commercial & Institutional Building Construction " The Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of the requirement for this contract is between $150,000.00 and $500,000.00 The Solicitation Number for this Project is P11PS60347. The US Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office is soliciting proposals for a firm-fixed-price construction contract to provide all labor, supplies, equipment and material necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work consists of but not all inclusive furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary Rehabilitate Munising Range Light Station. This project will involve the following: Work above the brick line shall include labor, materials and equipment necessary to: abate asbestos of existing siding materials, demolish existing roofing and second floor windows, install new faux half timber siding at gable ends and dormers, metal roof replacement for all roofs including porches, install new gutters, downspouts, and gutter heat trace, installation of new second floor windows including associated interior finish work; and painting necessary to finish all interior and exterior finish work. Work below the brick line shall include labor, materials and equipment necessary to: demolish porch, window and door materials; installation of new concrete sidewalk extensions; construction of new porch piers, framing, decks, railings (wood and metal), and columns, demolition and installation of new windows including associated interior finish work, installation of new exterior doors, and painting necessary to finish all interior and exterior finish work. Special Requirements: These structures are historic which requires knowledge/experience in historic preservation. Asbestos abatement will require contractor to provide proof of license for asbestos abatement. NOTE: This project is located at the Garand Marais Harbor of Refuge Keeper's Dwelling, Garand marais, MI 49839. The building is owned and managed by the National Park Service and is a component of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested and qualified parties with the time and date to be announced in the Solicitation. The Solicitation and attachments will be posted electronically on or about July 8, 2011 at the following website: www/fedbizopps.gov. All Amendments will also be posted to this website. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following the date of posting of the Solicitation unless extended. NOTE: POSTING DATE OF SOLICITATION IS NOT DEFINATE. IF SOLICITATION IS POSTED, IT MAY BE SEVERAL WEEKS EARLIER OR LATER THAN DATE SPECIFIED ABOVE. It is the responsibility of the interested vendor to check for updates to this posting.
