- General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described as follows: Careful removal of the existing historic roof tile for access to existing gutters and downspouts, from the roof edge, high enough to expose the gutter system for the purposes of cleaning out gutters and downspouts, and installing gutter guards and downspout covers. Reinstall existing historic roof tile. Attic area: Clean, sand/scrape and prepare all metal surfaces including steel framework and gypsum panel edges to receive new paint, and then paint, all exposed metal, with the exception of the metal catwalk, per the drawings and specifications within the Hot Springs National Park, Administrative Building, Hot Springs, Arkansas. Solicitation Number P11PS60475. The offeror selected shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of this project. Description: This project consists of 1.) Careful removal of the existing historic roof tile for access to existing gutters and downspouts, from the roof edge, high enough to expose the gutter system for the purposes of cleaning out gutters and downspouts, and installing gutter guards and downspout covers. Reinstall existing historic roof tile. 2.) Attic area: Clean, sand/scrape and prepare all metal surfaces including steel framework and gypsum panel edges to receive new paint, and then paint, all exposed metal, with the exception of the metal catwalk, per the Drawings and specifications. Type of Acquisition: A negotiated, firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The government will consider an offeror's technical capability, experience, and price to determine the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offer to the government. The NAICS code for this project is 238170 and the small business size standard is $14.0 million. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the estimated price range for this contract is $25,000 - $100,000. This solicitation is advertised under Small Business set-aside. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 30 June 2011.
