Description
The USGS Pacific Coast Marine Science Center, Santa Cruz, CA requires the services of a contractor to identify the quality and quantity of organic matter decomposing in marine sediments related to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The contractor shall analyze 75 to 85 wet Gulf of Mexico sediment samples for lipid biomarkers, petroleum hydrocarbons, and stable isotopes to detect and determine the origin of the crude in the samples. The sediment extraction portion of the work will be performed at the USGS Menlo Park, CA laboratory with some tasks in Santa Cruz, CA. This is a Total Woman Owned Small Business Set-Aside IAW FAR 52.219-30.
