Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA248-11-RQ-0735 and it is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those effective through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-50, effective 16 Mar 2011. Interested organizations please respond to the requirement; all proposals received prior to 06/23/2011 will be considered by the VA. THE PROJECT: Lee County Veteran's out-patient clinic (2489 Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral, FL 33909) OC3 150 MBPS point-to-point data connection to Bay Pines Medical Center (10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, FL 33744). This synopsis/solicitation will be providing for both primary and backup circuits for redundant telecommunications services. Therefore two vendors will be chosen on a best value basis for the project. SCOPE OF WORK: Vendor will provide point-to-point connection from Cape Coral, FL to Bay Pines, FL VAHCS. The vendor will provide 24/7 monitoring and notification of down status of circuit. Provide trouble ticket and trouble repair process to customer. Provide a detailed monthly invoice and provide assistance with and discrepancies found and assistance to correct the discrepancies. Delivery date of the circuit must be no later than August 31, 2011. This circuit will be providing the primary connection from the Lee County Clinic to Bay Pines VAHCS. The delivery date of the circuit is critical to the commissioning date of the clinic. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The period of performance is a base year (2 months) and 4 option years. Work at the government site shall not take place on Federal holidays or weekends unless directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). OFFERS: Only electronic offers will be accepted.
