- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office in Billings MT has a Commercial Item requirement for gravel fill, gravel (aggregate base), and gravel (3/4" minus aggregate), rock ballast (2 1/2"), and rock ballast (1 1/2") to be delivered to the Jamestown Dam in Jamestown ND. The work to be performed under this requirement may consist of gravel and rock ballast, transporting material, and delivery of the gravel fill along the entire approximately 1,600 feet of road to be raised approximately 4 ft. The work may also include spreading the gravel fill to enable continued delivery with trucks. Proposals will be requested under Request for Quotation No. R11PS60351 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. For this acquisition, the North American Industrial Classification System Code is 212319, Other Crushed and Broken Stone Mining and Quarrying and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about June 21, 2011 and the date and time for receipt of proposals will be on or about June 30, 2011, 11 a.m. local time, however, all dates in this announcement are subject to change. The Solicitation will be issued via www.fedbizoppps.gov. Offerors should register on the website to be included on the offerors list in order to receive notifications pertaining to the solicitation, or visit the website after June 21, 2011, in order to access the solicitation and any subsequent amendments and/or notices. Effective October 1, 1997, contractors are required to register their firms in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to receiving a contract award. This database provides basic business information, capabilities, and financial information to the Government and complies with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, which requires federal agencies to have the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) of every contractor and to pay every contractor through electronic funds transfer. Registration can be accomplished through the World Wide Web at http//www.ccr.gov. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The CCR Handbook and information on the registration process can be obtained via the CCR website, http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. Offerors will be required to complete the annual representation and certification electronically via the Online Representation and Certification Application (ORCA) website at http://orca.bnp.gov.
