- SSI will demonstrate will provide significant improvements in the performance of harbor defense and underwater intruder detection systems. The SWIMMER DETECTION SONAR NETWORK or SDSN is a proven system concept for cost effective swimmer detection, tracking and classification. It will be further enhanced through this effort to install and utilize a transportable version of the system for test and evaluation in an operational setting. Utilizing a transportable version of the SDSN for test and evaluation at PNS will aid developmental efforts in this area.
