Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - This procurement action is being conducted under FAR 6.302-1 with the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), as only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirement; therefore proposals cannot be submitted directly on this notice. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Middle East District, Contracting Office intends to increase the capacity under contract W912ER-08-D- 0005 awarded to Al Ghanim Combined Group W.L.L. P.O. Box 20019, Safat, Qatar, Job Order Contract for Minor Construction and Maintenance & Repair in Kuwait. More specifically, these Minor Construction and Repair services include Projects associated with the on-going operation on US Army Facilities through-out Kuwait. The projects are priced in accordance with the Unit Price Book established at time of the initial award in 2008. The capacity under this contract will increase by $24,000,000 from $50,000,000.00 to $74,000,000.00. The current period of performance, which is Option Period 3 which was exercised early and expires on 22 July 2012. There is one remaining option period of performance: Option Period 4 performance period is from 23 July 2012 through 22 July 2013. Option Period 4 will be exercised at the sole discretion of the Government. All services performed under this contract will continue to be performed in Kuwait. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, however, all information received by 06 July 2011 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All interested firms must respond by 06 July 2011, 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, by e-mail to Daniel M. Hanas and Robyn Ratchford, whose e-mail address is daniel.m.hanas@usace.army.mil and robyn.ratchford@usace.army.mil. The e-mail subject line shall state: W912ER-08-D-0005 Notice of Intent to Sole Source. The following information shall be included in the response: 1) capabilities statement; 2) documentation that shows the firm's ability to provide the required Minor Construction and Maintenance & Repair in Kuwait, to include certification or evidence of your company's authorization to operate and deliver the required services in Kuwait under all laws, edicts, and regulations in effect for that country as of the date of your response. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Middle East District, will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the information requested in this Notice of Intent to Sole Source.
