Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) BEING RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 10: MARKET RESEARCH. This RFI is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFQ in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to a contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Naval Air Warfare Center is not at this time seeking proposals, and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S.) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding party's expense. You are advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the U.S Government to form a binding contract. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system for any solicitation resulting from this RFI. No formal solicitation exists at this time. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is interested in obtaining information from industry concerning capabilities to meet the requirement of a new Narrow Aisle Reach Fork Lift to support the Operations for stacking items on the pallet racks. The Government is seeking to identify any small business manufacturers of this piece of equipment. The scope of work and specifications include the following: The contractor shall fabricate and deliver one Narrow Aisle Reach Fork Lift. The Narrow Aisle Reach Fork Lift Characters are: Operate in 10 ft wide aisles & 20 ft high racks; 4500 lbs capacity @ 24 inch load center; 36 volt System, Battery & Charger included; 270 inch lift height, triple stage, chain slack kit; 42 inch standard taper, 30 inch spread forks; AC Hydraulic with electronic power steering; Rack Height Select & Tilt Position Assist; Capacity Monitor scale; Battery Watering System; Overhead Guard; Sideshifter; Fire Extinguisher, Operator Fan & Work Lights; Work Assist left Pad Clip & Hook; Service Manual; Warranty - 1 yr major components & 90 days entire unit and; Delivery, set up & checkout at the NLSESF. Please answer the following questions to assist the Government in developing its procurement strategy. Responses should be submitted electronically to Patrick Smith at patrick.w.smith2@navy.mil. Responses shall be limited to the below topics and are bound by page limits. 1) Please discuss your interest in this requirement and corporate capabilities to satisfy the requirement. (no more than 5 pages) 2) Identify your small business size status under the NAICS code provided. (Small Business or Large Business) 3) Please identify if you are a manufacturer or reseller of this item. The information shall be submitted as UNCLASSIFIED. Do not submit any documents (letters, corporate statements or marketing information) other than the completed questions. The Government may elect not to discuss submissions received in response to this RFI with individual responders. There is no requirement to respond to the RFI in order to be eligible to propose on the planned RFP. However, the Government places tremendous value on the information received and may utilize it to finalize its acquisition strategy. Respondents shall fully use this opportunity to describe proven capabilities in manufacturing this item.
