- FBO Notice for Increase of Capacity The USACE-Detroit District has a need to modify and increase the existing Dredging IDIQ Firm Fixed Price Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCs) contract capacity by $2.5 million. The intent is to extend these contracts under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1)(2) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Tasks under each contract will consist of issuing modifications for existing task orders for Maintenance Dredging within the Great Lakes basin, based on best value to the government and time reasonableness. The contracts to be extended are with the following companies: Luedtke Engineering Company, Frankfort, MI; The King Company, Holland, MI; Great Lakes Dock & Materials, LLC, Muskegon, MI; Geo Gradel Company, Toledo, OH; Bayshore Contractors, LLC, Grand Rapids, MI; Malcom Marine, Inc., St. Clair, MI; Roen Salvage, Sturgeon Bay, MI; Ryba Marine Construction Company, d.b.a. Morrish-Wallace, Cheboygan, MI; MCM Marine, Inc., Sault Ste. Marie, MI; Faust, St. Clair Shores, MI. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237990, DREDGING Services. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer, Marilyn Hill, within 15 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses are due by 2:00P.M. (EDT) on 6 July 2011 to Marilyn Hill. A determination by the Government not to compete these proposed contracts is based on responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Parts 5.201 and 6.302-1.
