Description
The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to extend the period of performance on an existing purchase order contract via a modification to contract N62645-11-P-0022 under the statutory authority U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). The government intends to extend the period of performance by two months, from 01 March 2011 “ 31 July 2011 to 01 March 2011 “ 30 September 2011. The contract was awarded to First Advantage Corporation, 12395 First American Way, Poway, California 92064 for forensic toxicologist inspection services in support of the Department of Defense (DOD) Drug Testing Program. First Advantage Corporation shall provide Forensic Toxicologist Inspection Services for the drug labs located in Jacksonville, Florida; Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; Fort Meade, Maryland; and Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii. This contract action is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 12.6 and FAR 13). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The contract action will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541618 with a Small Business Size Standard of $7.0 million dollars. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same services from 01 August 2011 “ 30 September 2011. All capability statements received within 15 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to Shannon Lertora at Shannon.Lertora@med.navy.mil (in subject line reference: Forensic Toxicologist Inspection Services Bridge). Statements are due no later than 07 July 2011, 05:00 PM EST. No phone calls accepted.
