- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis for the purpose of conducting market research and obtaining industry information ONLY. Proposals are NOT being requested, nor accepted at this time. The National Park Service (NPS) will use information obtained through this synopsis to develop an acquisition strategy. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge regarding the type of interested businesses and their qualifications. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code and associated small business size standard will be one of the following:-- NAICS = 541310; $4.5M average annual revenue for the previous three years. -- NAICS = 541330; $4.5M average annual revenue for the previous three years. Following is a brief description of the work: The contractor shall provide architectural and engineering services associated with the relocation of multiple antennas and renovation of an existing communications room. The antennas are composed primarily of two types, 1) radio frequency and 2) microwave. Both the antennas and communication room are currently located on / in the historic Mount Washburn Fire Lookout facility located in Yellowstone National Park. The contractor, with assistance from the National Park Service (NPS), shall generate three alternatives for the above noted work. Alternatives shall incorporate minimum damage and modifications to the facilitys historic fabric. The history of the building is described in the Historic Structures Report dated September 2010 (copies of the report are available upon request). The contractor shall present, to the NPS, the pros and cons for each of the alternatives. The NPS shall select one of the three alternatives for further development. At the Governments option the contractor shall develop the selected alternative and shall generate the necessary construction documents. In accordance with Federal Regulations the A/E firm that provides design services will not be permitted to provide construction services. Again, at this time the NPS is not accepting proposals but is requesting that interested businesses furnish the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and email address. (2) Business type: 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Woman Owned Business, large or small business, etc., (3) Information regarding similar projects completed within the past 5 years; minimum information must include the following: Final contract price, project location, date of completion, a brief description of the project with special emphasis on Radio Frequency work. All responses must be submitted via e-mail to sharon_skelton@nps.gov by no later than close of business July 8, 2011.
