Description

The Training Ship State of Maine currently uses the Cargo Max program to determine its stability requirements. U pdated version 2.0 will provide a new user interface that will permit the operator to determine various stability effects resulting from damage or collision. Herbert holds all of the Hecsalv files and engineering data for TS State of Maine required to do this. To employ the services of another company would be impractical and expensive, but if any Vendor feels that they are equally qualified to provide Cargo Max Program Version 2.0 for the Training Ship State of Maine, they are requested to contact the Contracting Officer Laurel Bishop at 757 322 5814, or email laurel.bishop@dot.gov prior to 5 July 2011. The following is the work statement: Title: TS STATE OF MAINE - CARGOMAX UPGRADE Background and Intent: The TS State of Maine is a U.S. Government owned training ship provided to the Maine Maritime Academy for the purpose of training young men and women for a career in the U.S. Maritime Industry. It is the intent of this statement of work to procure and deliver an upgrade of the ship's CargoMax program to the 2.00 version which will be Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 compatible). Delivery Date and Location: The software (and all user manuals) shall be delivered to the pier alongside the Training Ship State of Maine, Maine Maritime Academy, Castine, ME 04420 prior to September 1, 2011. ITEM 0001 - PROCURE and DELIVER CARGOMAX 2.00 The Vendor shall procure and deliver 6 CD copies of the TS State of Maine's CargoMax program version 2.00
